Baccon Ltd, trading under the names “Auréa Law”, “Auréa Baccon” and “Auréa Baccon Law” (“my Company”), is registered in England and Wales with company number 15070931, and registered office address 86-90, Paul Street, 3rd Floor, London, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE.

Aurea Baccon (“me”, “I” or “my”) is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”) under SRA number 7050064.

1. My work and my Company’s work

I employ myself as a solicitor and I am authorised and regulated by the SRA in my personal capacity. This means that the legal services I provide personally are regulated by the SRA. However, it should be made clear that this authorisation and regulation does not apply to my Company, to the services that I offer more widely or to the work carried out by others. 

2. Insurance

My Company does not currently have professional indemnity insurance. As a non-SRA regulated entity, it is not required to maintain compulsory minimum levels of insurance.

3. No eligibility for a grant from the SRA Compensation Fund

As my Company is not authorised and regulated by the SRA, you will not be eligible for a grant from the SRA Compensation Fund, which is a discretionary fund operated by the SRA to which all solicitors contribute, and which purpose is to make grants to people whose money has been stolen, misappropriated or otherwise not properly accounted for, or those who have suffered a loss for which a regulated person should have been insured but was not. 

4. If you have a complaint about my services

As a solicitor regulated by the SRA, you will have the right to complain to the Legal Ombudsman about the services I provide in my personal capacity as a solicitor, and to the SRA about my professional conduct. However, as explained above, as my Company is not regulated by the SRA, you will have no right to complain to the Legal Ombudsman or to the SRA about my Company and the services it offers (which are not delivered in my capacity as a solicitor), including on this website. Please do get in touch if you have any complaint about my Company or the services it offers.

If you wish to make a complaint about me as a solicitor then, in the first instance, please contact me to set out your concerns. I will do my best to resolve any issues at this stage and will confirm my complaints handling procedure in writing (which is otherwise available to you at any time on request).

If you are not satisfied with my attempt to handle and resolve your complaint, you may be able to ask the Legal Ombudsman to consider the issue:

• by phone: 0300 555 0333. 

If you wish to make a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, it should be done within six months of my final response to your complaint and within six years of the act or omission that caused the complaint or, if outside this period, within three years of when you should reasonably have known about the relevant act or omission.

The Legal Ombudsman may refer your complaint to the SRA if they are not the correct body to consider the matter, as the Legal Ombudsman’s services are only available for certain types of complaints and complainants. As explained above, complaints about my professional conduct should be made to the SRA.
